Depends on a nearby provider with a container and truck to spare.
Taller walls for additions, new builds and bulky remodel debris.
Handy after storms, big trims and full backyard overhauls.
A middle ground for jobs that would overflow a 10 but not need a 20.
Often called for at public events and on many job sites.
Ask about mixed loads and swap-outs if your project runs in phases.
Your health department may require them where food is being served.
Ask about flushing or upgraded models if the occasion calls for them.

Short walls and a clear fill line for slab, brick, block and dirt.
Agree on a swap routine at the start, so debris never holds up the work.

Around twenty-two feet long, so measure your driveway before you book.
A provider will want crew size and site access first, so have them ready.
Set near the eaves so old roofing can drop straight into the box.
Contractors working around Houlton tend to want the same things: a container on site before the crew arrives, and gone soon after the crew leaves. In a town this size, an early call leaves more room on the local schedule.
Homeowners doing the job themselves have it easier with a little sorting first. Set aside anything a Houlton landfill might refuse, and load the heaviest items low and evenly from the start.
A short guide to working with HBI Roll Off in Houlton, ME.
Concrete, brick and dirt need short-walled containers and a clear fill line. Mention them first so the right box gets sent.
The line takes calls 24/7, including nights, weekends and holidays. Delivery times are set by the local provider.
Describe what is going in rather than guessing yards. Roofing, concrete and household clutter all load very differently.
An address, a rough volume and your dates are enough to start. A photo of the pile or the driveway helps the provider later.
You deal with a hauler serving your area, where one covers your address. Their rates and rules are the ones that apply.
Short answers to common Houlton container and restroom questions.
Usually, as long as the container is sized for the weight. Layers matter: two layers on a Houlton roof can double the tonnage. Have your square count ready, and ask whether shingles need to stay separate from other debris where you are.
On private property, usually not. On a street, sidewalk or other public right of way, many towns do require one, and the rules differ across ME. Check with the Houlton public works or permit office before the drop-off date.
Public events and many job sites call for accessible units. Federal standards generally ask that part of a cluster, and at least one unit, be accessible. Your Houlton event permit or site contract may spell out exactly how many you need.
Go by the job, not the house. A single bathroom or small cleanout in Houlton often fits a 10 yard, a kitchen or several rooms of flooring a 15, and a mid-size reroof or full-floor remodel a 20. Going one size up usually costs less than a second haul.
Container size, rental length, what is going in it, how far the hauler drives and local landfill fees all play a part. Houlton rates come from the provider who covers your address, so ask what weight is included and what an overage costs.
Rentals generally include a set tonnage, and anything above it is billed by the ton once the load crosses the scale. Roofing, dirt and masonry reach that limit quickly. Ask for the included weight and the per-ton rate for Houlton before you start loading.
